In France people are very demanding about their food, it must be of good quality. They would rather spend their last 25,- euro on a good chicken, then on repairing their house. In the Médoc there is a wide variety of fresh fish in the markets and supermarkets. The meat en poultry comes from the region and does not come from bio-industry.

    This is a super large supermarket, they sell all kinds of food products, a great fresh fish department, personal care, toys, electrical appliances, clothes, etc.

    This is the place to buy foie gras, canard, cheese, wine en they also have some nice gifts.
  • Pâtisserie La Crique - 70 Cours du Général de Gaulle, 33340 Lesparre, 00 33 556 418232
    A good bakery with some delicious pies.
  • Diet'Sport Medoc - This shop specializes in sports and energy products as well as bio and diet food.
    Next to that they also sell sports clothes and accessories.
    They are located at 24rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 33340 Lesparre.
  • La Boutique des Viticulteurs - The community of St. Christoly de Medoc has no less than 20 châteaux and 5 wine cooperations. In the village on Rue Gen. Charles de Gaulle there is a new and charming wine shop that sells a selection of these châteaux. It is open 7 days a week and the actual wine makers take turns in staffing the shop.
  • Food markets - There is a great market for a variety of food products on Saturday morning at Lesparre. A similar market is on Wednesdays in St. Vivien de Medoc. There are vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, eggs, bread, cheese, jam, honey, nuts and flowers.

  • Côté Gironde Antiquites - Place de la Marie, 33340 St. Christoly de Médoc, 00 33 556 413945
    This is a beautiful antique shop. Mostly 18th and 19th century and art déco and art nouveau. Next to furniture, there are paintings, table ware, glass and so on. The shop is run by a very nice lady.
  • Antiquités de Lescapon - On the road form Lesparre to Soulac sur Mer there is a nice antique shop in Lescapon. It is specialized in 18th and 19th century furniture, paintings, and many more decoration pieces.
